Ashokta Punarbashan Sangstha (APOSH) emerged as a Shelf-Help Group of ex-drug users in Rajshahi in 1999. APOSH has been giving the detoxification, treatment and rehabilitation services since 2000 and rendered services to approximately 5,250 helpless and needy clients during the period. In 2003 APOSH started working with CARE Bangladesh DFID funded HIV program. In addition, APOSH has done some philanthropic works in the local community with regard to raising awareness about stop drug dependency. In 2004 APOSH served detoxification services for drug users under the HAPP Projects.

The mission of APOSH is ‘by organizing the ex-drug users and through a self-reliant organization, APOSH wants to be an inseparable force and a desired companion in providing the overall assistance in empowerment and entitlement, life with dignity, development of human resources and their capacities’.

APOSH dreams of building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh by protecting the country’s future generation and youth society from the evil hands of drug through creating awareness among the neglected and marginalized drug user communities.

APOSH has been rendering its services in 3 districts and 5 Upazilas of Bangladesh. The working areas of APOSH are Rajahahi, Dinajpur, Chapai Nawabganj.
